The award is presented annually to a woman showing exceptional service to the community, promoting women in business and women&#8217;s issues. Kim was chosen as an outstanding business woman who opened a small coffee shop that became a favorite community meeting place. She responded to the needs of her customers and added breakfast items to her menu, followed by lunch items, followed by prepared grab-and-go lunches for the convenience of working people.<\/p>\n<p>She and her husband, Rob Meadows, owner of BobKorn in downtown Excelsior Springs, are getting ready to expand their business venues with the renovation of the historic &#8220;stone building&#8221; on the corner of Thompson and Spring streets. The new facility will provide an expanded venue, menu and their own hometown coffee roasting business!<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, Kim.
